Gemalto’s Cinterion® ELS61 wireless module delivers highly efficient Cat 1 LTE connectivity for M2M IoT solutions offering seamless fall back to 2G and 3G networks. The best in class solution enables M2M optimized speeds of 10Mbit/s download and 5Mbit/s uplink making it ideal for the vast number of M2M and industrial IoT applications that are not dependent on speed but that require the longevity of LTE networks, while still providing 3G and 2G connectivity to ensure complete population and geographic coverage as LTE rolls out. Applications well suited to the ELS61 solution include metering, tracking and tracing, remote surveillance, connected signs, fleet management and mHealth solutions.

Global 3G M2M Module with JavaTM Embedded
The flagship Cinterion® EHS6 is the 5th generation of Gemalto’s Java embedded M2M modules, which have simplified highly efficient, end-to-end industrial communication for more than a decade. Providing the ability to develop multiple designs from one solution, EHS6 is an ideal module for M2M applications migrating from 2G to 3G that require cost efficiency along with global connectivity. EHS6 offers five band HSPA to support high bandwidth connectivity, enabling speeds up to 7.2 Mbps in downlink and 5.7 Mbps in uplink and rounds out the existing portfolio comprised of the Industrial Platform.
The tiny EHS6 module offers the latest Java ME 3.2 platform optimized for resource-constrained M2M applications. It significantly reduces total cost of ownership (TCO) and time to market by sharing internal resources including memory, a large code base and proven software building blocks.
The improved Java concept can simultaneously run multiple applications and protocols. An extended security concept with the latest TLS/SSL engine provides secure and reliable TCP/IP connectivity while an enriched internal flash file system enables royalty free firmware updates over-the-air (FOTA). Sophisticated sandbox and layered architectures allowing simultaneous development of M2M devices and software applications for a shorter time to market.

Flexible High Bandwidth 3G Wireless M2M Connectivity
Gemalto’s Cinterion PHS8 cellular M2M Module delivers high bandwidth HSPA+ connectivity allowing optimized speeds up to 14.4 Mbps for downlink and 5.7 Mbps for uplink. PHS8 is offered in three versions to provide true worldwide coverage and reliability even while roaming across different wireless network technologies. The variants include PHS8-P with five bands UMTS for true global roaming, PHS8-US supporting all GSM-based networks in the USA, and PHS8-E offering dual band connectivity only for cost optimized solution for the European market. Sharing the same LGA footprint as 4G and CDMA-based Cinterion modules, the PHS8 enables a full range of M2M functions and features with flexibility for easy localization. This protects your technology investment ensuring reliable communications today while allowing easy migration to other network technologies as needs change over time.
PHS8 and its variants are ideal connectivity solutions for a wide variety of M2M applications including ruggedized mobile computing, security solutions, medical equipment, payment systems and gateway routers.
